DENVER, CO — (Wednesday, June 26, 2019) — Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is pleased to announce that the third Denver-area location, Alamo Drafthouse Westminster, will begin screening films on Sunday, June 30th, and offering “Sneak Peek” discounts on food and non-alcoholic beverages. “The design of Alamo Drafthouse Westminster was a fun, collaborative process with the city, and it all began with the marquee,” says Tim League, Alamo Drafthouse founder and CEO. “The city wanted to see a classic golden era cinema marquee. That idea resonated with me, and it inspired the Fritz Lang METROPOLIS theme of the building’s interior. I can’t wait for our friends in Westminster to see it.”

Located near Highway 36 and Sheridan at the center of Westminster’s downtown scene, Alamo Drafthouse Westminster is easily accessible from Boulder, Denver, and the surrounding suburbs. The theater’s nine auditoriums seat 931 guests, and will showcase the very best new releases, iconic special events, and a delicious food and drink menu served at a guest’s seat. Each theater is equipped with top-of-the-line digital 4K projection and dynamic surround sound, and fully outfitted with luxury recliners that are equipped with footrests, ensuring each seat in the house offers a viewing experience of unparalleled comfort.

Alamo Drafthouse Westminster will also be only the fourth location to offer The Big Show, Alamo Drafthouse’s Large Format Theater concept that showcases the very best presentation standards available today, including a state-of-the-art Barco DP4K-45L Laser projection system and Dolby Atmos transformative sound technology. The Big Show theater fits 245 recliner seats in an auditorium layout where each seat has an incredible and immersive view.

“Working off the silent era theme, Pandora’s Box became a tribute to Louise Brooks and the amazing actresses of the silent era,” adds League. “And that inspired both the design and the cocktail program”

And true to form, guests at Westminster will find Alamo Drafthouse’s ironclad ‘no-talking, no-texting’ policy in full effect, along with a unique and diverse approach to film programming that includes multi-course film feasts, live performances and in-person appearances by filmmaking talent. As with all Alamo Drafthouse theaters, Westminster will match a passion for movies with a love of inspired food and drink, providing in-theater dining in all nine theaters.

The major players at Alamo Drafthouse Westminster include General Manager Patrick Russell, Creative Manager Austin Terrell, Bar Manager Brittany Metheny, and Kitchen Manager Rick Schulenberg.

“I’m really looking forward to being a part of the community in Westminster, and working together to create unique entertainment opportunities that only the Alamo Drafthouse can provide,” says Austin Terrell, Alamo Drafthouse Westminster’s Creative Manager. “We’re perfectly situated to serve the Northern Denver Metro Area, and folks coming in from Northern Colorado will love the easy commute right into Westminster. We’re going to have a lot of fun at this location – I can’t wait to see everyone there.”
